Top Teeth Tips for Travel

Traveling this Summer?

Have you ever been on a road trip where your everyone wants to get to your destination, so limited stops for bathroom breaks and food scheduled in? Keeping up with your dental health can be difficult at home, let alone when you are traveling in a car for multiple hours and few stops being made. Brushing your teeth is the last thing on your mind as you are scrambling to go to the restroom and find a snack. However, there are a few tips and tricks to protecting your teeth while on the road that can easily become habit if you make them routine!

Healthy On the Go Snacks

The first and may be a very hard tip for some, is to eat healthy snacks. Sticky candy or cookies that are appealing to the eye are very bad for your teeth and because you may have limited rest stops to brush your teeth, it is important to stay on track and get the right snacks. Some easy, convenient and healthy snacks that you can bring include baby carrots, broccoli or cut up fruit and vegetables into sticks. Also, boxed fruit juice can be appealing in taste and in terms of convenience, however, it can greatly contribute to tooth decay. Instead, bring along a couple of water bottles.

Brush Break

Secondly, keep a tooth brush handy so when you do make a pit stop you can quickly brush and rinse your teeth. It only takes an extra minute or so to get a brush in, and no one will even notice any added extra time. You can also easily floss if you are a passenger in the car, not the driver. Any little effort you put toward your teeth will go a long way in maintaining your dental health. Keep your travel toothbrush and floss handy for your road trip to help further protect your teeth.

Go the Extra Mile

Last, but not least, when you finally reach your destination, whether you have traveled cross country or a shorter trip to visit family, take a little extra time to focus on your teeth and make sure your kids do the same and are aware that dental health is very important. The next time you travel, be sure to bring healthy snacks, make time for a quick brush and settle into your normal routine once you arrive to keep your pearly whites happy and healthy!

Geneva Malagutti
I was a little hesitant to come here after reading some reviews on Yelp but decided to give it a try after being reassured by Millie (who is really sweet and pleasant) over the phone, and I'm really happy I did. The office is beautiful, modern, and clean, something that really makes a difference for me going to the dentist. They were very prompt, I didn't have
to wait long to see the dentist.

I was blown away by the warm energy that radiated from the staff. They made sure that I understood everything and knew what the cost would be before we moved forward. Each person took the time to sit with me and explain the process. These people clearly love their job, their co-workers, and have a passion for assisting their clients with their dental health.
