- Overall dissatisfaction with your smile
- Crooked teeth
- Uneven teeth
- Broken or chipped teeth
- Missing teeth
- Unflattering gaps between the teeth
- Feeling too embarrassed to smile
- Stained or discolored teeth
- A lack of fulfillment in your professional or personal life because of your smile
- You have a beard or mustache for the sole purpose of hiding your smile
What Constitutes a Smile Makeover?
Smile makeovers typically use porcelain veneers, crowns or porcelain inlays. All of these materials offer a natural look and feel and allow your dentist to change the shape, color, length or width of teeth. They also resist staining, so your teeth will stay pearly and white. No two smile makeovers are the same for every patient. This is why we work closely with you to determine which cosmetic procedures will produce the exact look you want for your smile. It’s our goal to make sure each patient is thoroughly satisfied with the look of their smile.
About the Smile Makeover Process
So, what is the first step in the makeover process? Once you meet with your dentist and decide on the best way to achieve your desired smile, we will take an impression of your existing teeth and send it to a lab with instructions of what the desired smile should look like. After the patient reviews the wax up model made by the lab, it will create the new teeth, which are usually made of veneers, crowns, inlays, and onlays. Three or four weeks later, the new porcelain teeth will be bonded!
The greatest thing about a cosmetic dental makeover is that the recovery time is minimal. After the procedure, your gums may be tender for a couple days – over-the-counter pain relief may ease the discomfort. Be sure to follow your dentist’s recommendations to ensure you get the best results from your smile makeover. This includes keeping up with all of your follow-up appointments so we can make sure there are no issues with results of your smile makeover. This will also help you prevent future issues that may require more extensive treatments later on.
How Much Will It All Cost?
Your specific treatment plan will determine how much your procedure will cost. The cost per veneer can range from $800 to $1,500 depending on lab fees. Call our office today to learn how you can improve your smile with a cosmetic makeover. The good news is we work with our patients to ensure you get the treatments you need at a price you can afford. Many of these procedures are covered by your insurance policy to some degree. Anything that isn’t covered by insurance can be paid with a predetermined payment plan so you don’t have to push off getting the treatments you need until you can save up the money.
