Missing teeth impact your dental health and the appearance of your smile. Over 36 million Americans are missing all of their teeth, while 120 million are missing at least one tooth. These numbers reflect the need for tooth replacement solutions that align with patients’ goals and expectations.

If you’re one of the millions of Americans affected by tooth loss, you know all too well the problems that come with missing teeth. In addition to having trouble chewing, eating, and speaking, you may also feel self-conscious about your smile. Tooth loss can also lead to healthy teeth shifting out of place and atrophy of the jawbone.

Denture technology allows our dentists to provide safe and effective dental solutions for missing teeth. At Art of Modern Dentistry, we combine experience, skill, and compassionate care to restore patient smiles!

Full Dentures

Full, or complete, dentures replace all of your teeth. They’re ideal for patients with one or both rows of teeth missing. They are built to conform closely and comfortably to your gums.

Wearing full dentures makes it easier to chew, talk, and smile normally. They create the appearance of a full set of natural teeth. In most cases, people will be unable to tell that you’re wearing dentures at all! They can be fitted for the upper portion of your mouth, for the lower portion, or for both upper and lower, depending on your needs.

Partial Dentures

We might suggest partial dentures if you still have some natural teeth and simply want to fill in the spaces. They function similarly to full dentures, but they are specifically made to replace only the teeth that are missing. With partial dentures, you can confidently showcase your beautiful smile without hesitation!

If partials are not suitable for your condition, our dentists may recommend a dental bridge or implants.

Permanent Dentures in Chicago

If you’re looking for a permanent tooth replacement solution, we have treatments to fit your needs. Most commonly, we recommend dental implants to patients as part of denture implants. These implants are surgically inserted into the jawbone and act as permanent anchors for a dental prosthesis.

Permanent dentures may also be known as All-on-4 dental implants. They are a highly convenient method for addressing tooth loss. You won’t have to worry about cleaning them, since they’re not removable, or using adhesives to keep them in place.

Some clients may not have enough jawbone density to support implants if they suffered bone loss following tooth loss. However, bone grafting can help rebuild jawbone density. A bone graft procedure can allow even patients with long-term, untreated tooth loss to receive implants.

What To Expect During the Denture Process

The denture process at Art of Modern Dentistry begins with a comprehensive oral exam. We’ll check your gums, jawbone, and overall oral health to make sure you’re a good candidate.

If dentures are right for you, we’ll take precise molds of your upper and lower gums. These impressions help us design dental prostheses that fit comfortably and securely.

At your next visit, we’ll assess your bite and determine the ideal size and placement of your replacement teeth. Then, we’ll create a wax model of your dentures so you can try them on and ensure the fit, look, and feel are just right.

Once you’re happy with the wax version, we’ll send the final specifications to the lab to craft your permanent dentures. When your set is ready, we’ll make any necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit.

The Cost of Dentures in Chicago

The cost of dentures will vary depending on the quality of the material, the type of dentures, and the experience of your dentist. In general, you can expect traditional dentures to cost upwards of $1,000 for each row. Implant denture solutions cost significantly more. However, insurance can help cover a portion of the cost, as dentures are technically a major restorative service.

I was a little hesitant to come here after reading some reviews on Yelp but decided to give it a try after being reassured by Millie (who is really sweet and pleasant) over the phone, and I'm really happy I did. The office is beautiful, modern, and clean, something that really makes a difference for me going to the dentist. They were very prompt, I didn't have
to wait long to see the dentist.

I was blown away by the warm energy that radiated from the staff. They made sure that I understood everything and knew what the cost would be before we moved forward. Each person took the time to sit with me and explain the process. These people clearly love their job, their co-workers, and have a passion for assisting their clients with their dental health.
