For Straighter Teeth and a Better Smile, Choose Invisalign
Most people recognize that a great smile is an asset, and therefore those with crooked teeth may be self-conscious about showing off their smile. Invisalign is the perfect solution for those who want straight teeth and a picture-perfect smile but don’t want to spend months or even years with a mouth full of metal and wires. Invisalign is an affordable alternative to traditional braces.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that cover the teeth, slowly manipulating them into the desired position. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign uses no metal, wire or elastic bands. When a patient is first being fitted, a three dimensional image of the teeth is made. Based on this image, a computer program is employed that determines how many aligners will be needed, and how long it will take for the teeth to be moved to their ideal position. The patient gets a new aligner every two weeks, each one is slightly different than the one replaced; slowly the aligners manipulate the teeth into place. Because the aligners are clear, the patient can wear them all day and they will not be noticeable. From the patients point of view a great benefit is the fact that they can be removed when eating and drinking, and more importantly, when brushing and flossing. The Invisalign aligners are put back in once dining or teeth maintenance has been completed.
Who can use Invisalign?
Anyone with crooked teeth is a candidate for Invisalign. Although children and teens can straighten their teeth using Invisalign, it is of particular interest to adults who are hesitant to use traditional braces.
How long does it take to straighten your teeth using Invisalign?
No two people are alike; each individual case will require a different course of treatment. A normal case will take about one year; during this time the dentist will have given you between 25 and 30 different aligners.
Invisalign is preferred because they are virtually invisible and painless! You will notice your teeth transitioning into a smile you are excited to show off. Contact us to learn more about our Invisalign treatment for adults and teens.
