Choose The Right Plan for You!

1. Dental Cleaning

It may seem simple, but getting a dental cleaning from Art of Modern Dentistry is the idal starting point. We utilize the latest in dental technology to clean your teeth, as well as remove stains, tartar and other types of buildup. A thorough cleaning can also freshen your breath.

Length of Procedure: Typically about 45 to 60 minutes for a thorough cleaning

Number of Visits: Most patients require one cleaning, though others may need more than one, depending on the length of time since the last cleaning and the amount of staining and tartar present

Anesthesia: A topical or local anesthetic may be required for sensitive teeth or in situations where a deeper cleaning is required

Duration of Results: We will recommend a cleaning every three to six months based on your unique needs

Recovery Time: None

Risks: None

2. Whitening

If you are overall satisfied with your teeth, except you would like a lighter, whiter, brighter smile, we can use lasers or specialized whitening gels to resolve the issue. At Art of Modern Dentistry, there are several options available to ensure you have a beautiful white smile for your important day.

Our Options
You will find a vast array of whitening options on the market, making it difficult to determine which one is right for you. Four of our most popular solutions that provide varying results at different speeds include:

  • One hour in-office whitening
  • Custom whitening trays with gel
  • Over-the-counter products
  • Whitening toothpaste

In-office teeth whitening uses Zoom!, which is a leading whitening system using light activated chemicals. Years of research went into the development of this product. Zoom! utilizes a special UV light and a specially formulated gel that safely, effectively and quickly whitens the teeth. It can only be used by a trained dental professional. Even though this option is slightly more expensive, it can produce the fastest, longest lasting results.

At-home whitening often involves trays and gels that can be just as effective, but may take longer to reach your goals. These trays are filled with gel and must be worn for several hours, often overnight. It will typically take three to four days before results are noticeable. The kits we offer will work faster and be more effective because they contain a stronger peroxide agent than those you would obtain over the counter.

Over-the-counter whitening products, such as whitening strips, may be less costly, but this is because they are weaker and may be inconsistent. The results also take much longer to be noticeable. Some people see no results at all.

Whitening toothpastes are made with mild abrasives that are designed to remove surface stains and nothing more. Some toothpaste may include polishing agents and other chemicals that can help remove the stains. However, they don’t typically contain true whitening agents.

Are You a Good Candidate for Whitening Your Teeth?
Teeth whitening is fairly inexpensive and can help you gain a brighter smile, it won’t work for everyone.
-This procedure doesn’t have the same effect with all types of discoloration.
-An individual with yellow teeth is likely to experience positive results, but someone with gray teeth won’t see the same effect.
-Crowns, bridges and tooth colored fillings will become darker during the bleaching process because they won’t lighten the same as your natural teeth.
-Gum disease and tooth whitening aren’t compatible.

During your visit to Art of Modern Dentistry, one of our dentists or technician will be able to quickly tell you if you qualify for this procedure.

Length of Procedure: At-home whitening requires a commitment of 30 minutes a day for several weeks, while an in-office treatment typically takes 60 minutes.

Number of Visits: Typically one

Anesthesia: None

Duration of Results: There are many variables that affect how long you will see results, including wine consumption, diet, original tooth color and tobacco use

Recovery Time: None

Risks Potential: You may experience sensitivity to heat or cold after the procedure

3.Bonding

You will be bonding with your new spouse, but before you do, it’s important to take care of any chips or broken fillings that could be replaced with the newest tooth-colored fillings. This will give you improved tooth restorations using high-tech materials that actually bond to the teeth, retaining the same light transmitting properties as your natural teeth. This procedure is done the same day, although you should have an examination at Art of Modern Dentistry before the appointment so we can tell you how long to expect your appointment to take.

Length of Procedure: Bonding can take between 45 and 60 minutes for each tooth that requires work

Number of Visits: One visit

Anesthesia: Local anesthesia may be used but isn’t required

Duration of Results: This may vary based what you eat

Recovery Time: None

Risks: Chewing hard foods can cause damage to bonding

4. Veneers

Veneers are a thin outer covering created to cover an unattractive feature and make it look better. Dental veneers are a great way to improve both the color and shape of your teeth permanently. First, we will reduce the outer enamel that already exists on the teeth and replace it with porcelain. This improves on the overall look and color of your teeth in an easy way. However, the process of getting the veneers can take up to three months so it’s important to make sure you allow enough time before your wedding date.

Length of Procedure: Will vary depending on the number of teeth covered

Number of Visits: Including the exam, veneers take between two and four visits

Anesthesia: Local or topical anesthesia may be used, but aren’t always needed

Duration of Results: With proper maintenance, they can last 10 to 15 years

Recovery Time: None

Risks: Sensitivity to hot or cold may occur temporarily

5. Periodontal Plastic Surgery

Some surgical techniques available today can make visible changes to the tissue and how it relates to your teeth. These procedures can correct overgrown gums, correct exposed root surfaces and more. With the latest reshaping procedures, your recovery time will be minimized with a comfortable recovery time. Periodontal surgery, which lengthens the tooth, may be necessary prior to cosmetic restorations.

Length of Procedure: Surgery can take between one and three hours, depending on the extent of the work

Number of Visits: Including post-operative appointments, surgery requires two to four visits

Anesthesia: Most patients require only local anesthesia, but oral and conscious sedation are also options

Duration of Results: For individuals with good dental health and dental maintenance, including cleanings every three to four months, results can last a lifetime

Recovery Time: Most patients suffer only some swelling and minor discomfort, which can be resolved with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, analgesic medication and antibiotics

Risks: Some heat sensitivity may occur for several weeks after surgery

6. Dental Implants

If you want a stand-alone tooth replacement that looks as natural as possible, an implant is your best choice. This procedure involves a root replacement that creates a permanent conjunction between the bone and the root, covered with a crown. These implants look just like your natural teeth, but won’t decay or develop gum disease. However, this solution requires careful planning because it can take between three and 12 months to complete the process.

Length of Procedure: Depending on the number of implants, appointments take one to three hours. Crowns require a separate appointment.

Number of Visits: Including post-operative appointments, multiple visits are required

Anesthesia: Local anesthesia is typically used, but patients can opt for general anesthesia or conscious sedation

Duration of Results: Dental implants should last for life

Recovery Time: Patients recover in one to three days with only the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, analgesic medication and antibiotics

Risks: In extreme cases, infection or failure of the implant can occur, though rarely

7. Orthodontics

Orthodontics has made it easy for dental professionals to precisely and accurately move teeth so they are positioned for better aesthetics and positioning. At Art of Modern Dentistry, we offer Invisalign systems, which is a breakthrough technology that provides a straighter smile without the look traditional metal braces created.

With the use of clear, removable aligners, this system straightens your teeth quickly and effectively. Treatment may take between two and 24 months, depending on the amount of movement needed.

Over the course of your treatment plan, you will change aligners about every two weeks. These aligners will progressively move the teeth into the appropriate position for a beautiful smile. The number of aligners required will vary depending on your goals. Unlike traditional braces, these aligners can be removed to care for your teeth and eat for a healthier smile overall.

Invisalign is hardly noticeable, meaning people won’t know unless you tell them.

Length of Procedure: Adults can expect their orthodontic treatment to take between two and 24 months

Number of Visits: Treatment requires multiple visits, typically every three to six weeks

Anesthesia: None

Duration of Results: In most cases, orthodontic results are for a lifetime, particularly with the use of a retainer. The natural aging process can result in small changes over time.

Recovery Time: None

Risks: The gums must be healthy in order to use orthodontics as an adult. Maintaining cleanings every three to six months will prevent bone loss during treatment.

I was a little hesitant to come here after reading some reviews on Yelp but decided to give it a try after being reassured by Millie (who is really sweet and pleasant) over the phone, and I'm really happy I did. The office is beautiful, modern, and clean, something that really makes a difference for me going to the dentist. They were very prompt, I didn't have
to wait long to see the dentist.

I was blown away by the warm energy that radiated from the staff. They made sure that I understood everything and knew what the cost would be before we moved forward. Each person took the time to sit with me and explain the process. These people clearly love their job, their co-workers, and have a passion for assisting their clients with their dental health.
