Healthy Foods to Improve Oral Health
1. Green tea: Green tea offers antioxidant compounds that prevent plaque from accumulating which reduces risk of cavities and bad breath. Some also contain fluoride that can prevent tooth decay.
2. Dairy products: Milk and yogurt are low in acidity and sugar which reduce risk of tooth decay or erosion. Milk also contains calcium, which fortifies teeth and bones.
3. Cheese: Cheese is high in phosphate and calcium, promoting healthy teeth. It also balances the pH in your mouth, produces more saliva and kills bacteria.
4. Fruit: Whole, raw fruits keep down plaque and massages gums. Without fruits rich in Vitamin C, gums may become sensitive and more susceptible to gum disease.
5.Vegetables:Broccoli, carrots, sweet potato and pumpkins are rich in Vitamin A from which tooth enamel forms. Eating them raw cleans teeth and massages gums.
